Ghost Town Jenny
The sometimes foot-stomping, somewhat heart-breaking, multiawardwinning Melbourne duo, Oh Pep! comprise of Olivia 'Liv' Hally and Pepita 'Pep' Emmerich. At CMJ they were picked by Jon Pareles of the New York Times as his "CMJ keepers" and KCRW's "11 Artists who stole the Fest". The band also recorded an NPR Tiny Desk, KEXP Session and Daytrotter session on the road.
Duncan "DonCat" Nielsen writes nostalgic rock-and-roll that gleams like a beacon from the fog-saturated western coastline. His minimal, lilting approach is inspired by American hope and native mysticism, and has a weighty core likened to Metals-era Feist, George Harrison's All Thing's Must Pass, and Jim James' heartfelt crooning.
GHOST TOWN JENNY
Ghost Town Jenny effortlessly blend lead singer Kim Kylland's haunting and powerful voice with remarkable string arrangements and brooding ambient soundscapes to create their own unique genre of spooky, cinematic soul music.
